Solar Energy

India is gifted with abundant source of SOLAR ENERGY, as it has a high solar insolation and reception. The Government of India has taken several initiatives to promote Solar Energy in India. The Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) was initiated by the Indian Government to establish India as a global leader in Solar Power generation. The mission has a set target to achieve 20,000 MW in 3 phases.

Plans and Initiatives to Achieve the Proposed Target in Solar Power Generation:

  • In view of the growing demand for electricity and the rising input costs, India has launched plans worth US $19 billion for the production of 20 GW of Solar Power before 2020.
  • The Renewable Energy Certificate Policy (REC) solicits that the benefits of Solar Energy be distributed to all the States, under the Indian Electricity Act 2003.
  • The REC will be traded and purchased by other obligators. The issuance and obtaining of REC has proved to be very profitable and successful in the country.
  • The Ministry of New of New and Renewable Energy has installed several sophisticated up-to-date instruments all over India to assess the solar potentials under the Solar Radiation Resources Assessment Programme. The data derived from the assessment is being collected and processed by C-WET (Center for Wind Energy Technology).
  • Gujarat is one of the States that has already achieved Solar Power Generation of 600 MW, setting a prime unprecedented example for the rest of the country to follow.
  • Rajasthan has also installed a huge capacity for Solar Power Generation. The arid deserts and dry sand dunes in Rajasthan receive high solar insolation, spread over several thousand miles.
  • India has been facing a huge power crisis over the past few years due to the tremendous growth in population coupled with exponential industrial growth. Due to the high population density, the per capita consumption of electricity has increased by fifty times in the last sixty years. Conventional Energy has also fallen short of bridging the gap between demand and supply.

In order to meet the demand, distribution companies sourced power for an exorbitant price. This was when efforts had been made to bring Solar Energy into the mainstream source of power generation. A few minutes of Solar Energy, falling on a huge Solar Panel, was found to generate enough power for a whole year.

Solar Energy holds the key to the future, as the prices of limited non-renewable energy resources such as coal, oil and gas keep spiraling high. It is a freely available resource, which with the best of capital equipment can be tapped quite effectively to generate sufficient amounts of power. So, all the States in India have begun to work towards the implementation of Solar Projects to meet the excess demand for power in an eco-friendly manner.

SB Wind Energy Private Limited is vested with the best of technologies, minds and abilities to tap this unlimited source of renewable energy. We have taken concerted efforts to build considerable number of Solar Energy Farms to tap and leverage Solar Power sufficiently into the production of power and electricity. Our engineers take a step-by-step approach in analyzing the potentials, facilities and prospects provided by the particular sites or farms.

We install Solar Farms in an effort to reduce greenhouse emissions naturally caused by the usage of non-renewable energy. We have put our best foot forward to produce surplus power through Solar Energy. SB Wind Energy Pvt. Ltd. endeavors to bring down Solar Power Generation costs by sourcing highly inexpensive yet qualitative Solar Photovoltaic Panels. We have constantly come up with customized cost-cutting and margin-enhancement strategies to bring down the cost of setting up Solar Farms to help you make bigger profits.
